The Garden at St. James

The Garden at St. James is an expression of faith in the promises of our creator and recognition of our life in Christ. The Garden is available to members of the congregation and the community for prayer and other suitable activities.

The focal area of the Garden is a small fountain cascading into a round pool. The Garden is located in a small courtyard

next to the Worship Center and is gated to provide some vsiual privacy and quiet. Benches for sitting are located in the courtyard are surrounding the fountain. Two large trees provide shade and additional privacy. In keeping with our beautiful southwest home, desert- adapted landscaping is also employed.

The sacred and quiet grounds of the Garden are designed for reflection and reverence. Members and their families may spend time meditating and remembering loved ones without leaving St. James' property.

Arrangements

Space for a member or a relative of a member may be set aside at any time, even prior to need, just as a cemetery plot is purchased. Internment of cremated remains with a bronze plaque is $750. Cremains will be interred in a specific area. Plaques will be mounted on a "rememberance wall" above the location of the cremains. Plaques in rememberance of loved ones interred elsewhere are available at $250 for individuals and $400 for two names, sharing the same plaque.

Interspersed in the brick walkways in the Garden are laser-engraved bricks given as gifts and memorials for loved ones, as well as commemorations for special people and events. Memorial bricks are $50 each.
