Placing flowers on the altar is a way of honoring the Lord.
A lay ministry that has the sacred responsibility to prepare the altar for worship.
This team lovingly takes care of the St. James facilities, including the attached school.
Concerned for the global climate emergency, we commit to form and restore loving, liberating, life-giving relationships with all of Creation.
There are many duties that non-clergy members of St. James perform: Acolytes, Lay Readers and Chalice Bearers.
In addition to learning more about the liturgy of the Episcopal Church, this team is working with Fr. Sam on services held during the various liturgical seasons as well as special services.
Whether your taste is for a traditional service with traditional and well loved hymns or a more casual service with contemporary songs – we have at all at St. James!
St. James is very active in the community and we are involved in ongoing outreach projects, annual outreach events and special/one-time outreach efforts.
Our pastoral care is about offering loving support and compassion to shut-ins, and those in hospital or with health concerns that make it difficult to get to church on a regular basis.
We want to ensure that all members, visitors and newcomers feel welcomed at St. James.
