Placing flowers on the altar is a way of honoring the Lord.
Altar Guild is a lay ministry that has the sacred responsibility to prepare the altar for worship.
This team lovingly takes care of the St. James facilities, including the attached school.
This ministry is an active, vibrant ministry that consults with clergy and provides service options for our parishioners.
There are many duties that non-clergy members of St. James perform: Acolytes, Lay Readers and Chalice Bearers.
Whether your taste is for a traditional service with traditional and well loved hymns or a more casual service with contemporary songs – we have at all at St. James!
St. James is very active in the community and we are involved in ongoing outreach projects, annual outreach events and special/one-time outreach efforts.
Our pastoral care is about offering loving support and compassion to shut-ins, and those in hospital or with health concerns that make it difficult to get to church on a regular basis.
Prayer shawls are given to those, inside and outside of St. James, that need comfort for any reason.
The mission of the Welcoming & Hospitality Ministry is to ensure that all members, visitors and newcomers feel welcomed at St. James.
